Day 1: Bodrum
You're welcome onboard after 15.00. Early arriving guests may leave their luggage at Marina Office to take a time to explore the sights of Bodrum. We recommend visiting the Mausoleum museum which is counted as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The Ancient Theatre situated on the highway is one of the oldest theaters of Anatolia. Myndos Gate of Halicarnassus, the Castle of St. Peter built by the Crusader Knights, and the World’s first underwater Archaeology Museum inside the castle are worth seeing. Once settled on the boat, dinner and the overnight stay will be in Bodrum Harbor or at a nearby bay.
Day 2: Kos (Istankoy)
After breakfast, guests will be briefed about the cruise itinerary and the boat. Once customs formalities are completed the boat departs for the island and harbor of Kos – the second largest island of the Dodecanese Islands (Twelve Islands in Greek). Hippocrates, known as 'the Father of Medical Science', was born on the island of Kos, and practiced medicine at the Asclepion where the ruins are still visible today and can be visited along with the 560 year old "Hippocrates Tree" and a 200 year old fountain. Famous for wines, olive oil and spices, the island bears the traces of the Dorians, Carians, Persians and Romans, and now its long beaches are very popular.
Day 3: Pserimos - Leros
The cruise starts early in the morning for the barely inhabitated island of Pserimos to stop for breakfast and a swimming break. Later the boat cruises northwards to the larger island of Leros where high cliffs, great sheltering bays and a significant WW2 history make a great spot for exploring. After lunch in the southern Xerakampos, the boat anchores in the western bay of Lakki or the eastern Agia Marina, which links to Platanos - the main city of Leros with steep stairs, narrow streets, whitewashed houses, shops and cafes. From Platanos you can take the 300 steps leading up to the Crusader Castle of Leros - they say the view from the top is worth it!
Day 4: Patmos
Early in the morning we cruise to Patmos Island, one of the best known islands of Greece for its religious significance and as a site for pilgrimage. Patmos was mentioned in the Bible’s Book of Revelations, when the Apostle John was exiled to Patmos and received the visions. Therefore Patmos is now a very popular destination for Christian pilgrimages, with the Cave and the great Monastery dominating this very pretty island. The boat usually stays overnight in the Skala Harbor. Swimming and exploring are all possible here.
Day 5: Lipsi
The boat sets sails for Lipsi Island of simplicity and tranquility. Once anchored, you can take your time for a swim as well as a visit to Lipsi archipelago. On the island, a walk might take you to the Church of the Catopanaghia (7th century) and the 15th century Church of Panopanaghia. Or you can cross the 3km wide island through olive orchards.
Day 6: Kalymnos
The boat swings south to Kalymnos Island. To see the villages and orchards there will be stops also giving you time for a swim and lunch before the overnight stay in a convenient bay or near the beaches of Massouri, Mirties or Vlyhadia. Pothia town harbor of Kalymnos Island has a museum dedicated to the islanders who were famous for sponge diving across the Mediterranean.
Day 7: Karaincir - Bodrum
Anchor up for Turkey! The boat crosses the sea to sail around the southern Bodrum Peninsula stopping for a swimming break at Karaincir. Then we clear in through the customs and moor in Bodrum Harbor. For the last overnight stay guests have the option of spending the last night in Bodrum Harbor or in a nearby bay.
Day 8: Bodrum
After breakfast onboard we make our farewells and guests leave the boat before 09.30.
Please note: The Captain may have to change the route depending on the weather conditions.
